Dear Friend in Christ:

The Vicar and the members of the St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Seattle, respectfully seek your prayers and financial support for building a place of worship. Our plan is to remodel the existing building to a church and a community center. The facility will be built in 1.1 acres of land purchased by the Church, located at 11651 SE 188th St., Renton, WA.

Our Mission

Consistent with that of our mother Church, the mission of St. Thomas Orthodox Church is to conduct liturgical services, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, the Faith, Doctrines and Teachings of The Malankara Orthodox Church of India and to serve the area community. A place of worship is essential to fulfill this mission.

Progress and Timeline

  • Acquired 1.1 acres of land, zoned residential for a church facility.
  •  Sewer line extension activities in progress with approval from Soos Creek Water District.
  • Conditional Use Permit - City of Renton - Approved
  • Building Permit PhaseApplication - Approved
  • Building Construction activities in progress.

Our goal is to complete the church building by early 2011.
