Fr. T U Jacob had his
theological training at Kottayam Theological Seminary, Kerala,
India [Graduate in Sacred Theology] and Serampore University, Calcutta, India[Bachelor of Divinity]. He also holds a Master of Arts
Degree (1985) and Bachelor of Education Degree (1987) from Kerala University.Fr. Jacob was ordained
as a sub-deacon in 1980 at the Sion Seminary, Koratty,
Kerala, India. Ordained to the priesthoodin 1987, after which he served a few parishes
in Kerala. He came to the United States in 1996 and has since
served as vicar of St. Marys Church,St.Louis (1996-1997), St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Oklahoma [1997-2004]
and is presently serving as vicar of St. Thomas Orthodox
Church, Seattle since 2004. All together he has over 20 years of
experience as Vicar of Orthodox Churches in India
and USA. In addition Fr. Jacob has served as a
secretary to HG Yohannan Mar Severious , Metropoliton of
Cochin, Kerala, India and worked with the Youth Wing of
the Orthodox Church (MGOCSM). He has served as a faculty at
Nedumbasseri High School, Kerala India[1987-1996] and also taught a Laity Spiritual
Course- Divya Bodhanam [1982-1985].
